Catherine is a conveyancing executive, who has worked in our conveyancing department for more than 10 years whilst studying to be a Chartered Legal Executive.
She is currently a Graduate member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and is undertaking her qualifying employment to become a Chartered Legal Executive.
Catherine ensures that any matter involving residential property for individuals runs smoothly and effectively in a friendly and professional manner.
Outside of work, Catherine is a member of two netball teams and enjoys training for long distance runs.
Katie joined the firm as a trainee in 2004 and qualified as a solicitor in 2006 after gaining her legal practicing certificate from the College of Law in Birmingham.
Since qualification she has specialised in commercial and residential property services for individuals and businesses.
Katie can advise and assist with all property matters, from buying and selling your home to commercial property and lease transactions.
Katie also has experience of dealing with both personal and premises licence applications.
When away from the office, Katie enjoys walking and time with her family.
Sarah works within our residential property team, assisting with all aspects of the conveyancing process to make the process of buying and selling properties as smooth and efficient as possible for our clients.
Sarah passed the ILEX Level 6, Conveyancing Practice with Distinction and is a very experienced conveyancing paralegal, having worked within legal firms for over 20 years.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys going to the gym, walking her two Labradors and watching cricket.
Caroline is a conveyancer with over 30 years' experience of buying and selling residential properties in Derby and other parts of England and Wales, who has worked at the practice for more than 20 years.
Outside of work Caroline is involved in various Church activities and a Derby County Council run scheme called 'Talk English' which enables asylum seekers to access conversational English.
Caroline reads a lot and enjoys period dramas and "Location Location Location" is one of her favourite television programmes!
Tim is the head of our Wills & Probate team. He has specialised in this area of law throughout his legal career and is able to advise clients in relation to Wills and probate matters, Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection work, trusts, tax and elderly client issues such as residential care fees planning.
Tim completed his law degree at Nottingham University and went on to complete both a Masters degree in law and his Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School. Tim qualified as a solicitor in 2009, joining Alexander & Co in 2012. He became a partner in 2014.
In his free time, Tim enjoys spending time with his young family.
Andrea has gained extensive experience working in this area of law for over 20 years.
Andrea joined Alexander & Co in 2016 from a large East Midlands firm. Andrea advises on Wills, probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection matters.
Andrea's hobbies are going to the gym, walking her dog, going to the theatre and socialising with friends and family.
Bill is an experienced civil litigator and provides no nonsense advice on a broad range of legal issues, including professional negligence cases, landlord and tenant claims, partnership disputes, contract disputes, contested probate and personal injury.
Bill obtained his law degree from Nottingham University in 1977.
He qualified as a solicitor in 1982 and worked at a firm in Nottingham for most of his career before moving to join our team in 2016.
Bill's hobbies are walking, home brewing and playing drums.
Susie joined the firm in 2011 as a legal administrator and has worked within legal firms in the local area for many years.
Susie has considerable experience in both the financial, compliance and administrative management of legal practices.
Susie likes to travel and explore new places.
Manesha works in our matrimonial department and provides assistance and advice in family law including divorce, financial matters, cohabitation, issues involving children and pre and post nuptial agreements.
Manesha graduated with a degree in law from University of Liverpool in 2003.
She qualified as a solicitor in 2007.
Manesha assisted Alexander & Co as a locum solicitor before joining the firm as a permanent member of the team in 2017.
Manesha is a member of Resolution - committed to the constructive resolution of family disputes.
She is also a committee member of Derby & District Law Society and its Family Law sub-committee
In her spare time, Manesha is an avid spectator of cricket.
Chloe is a legal assistant who works in the conveyancing department, assisting Katie Basey in all property transactions for private individuals and businesses.
She is attending BPP University Law School on an apprenticeship course as a route to qualifying as a solicitor, which she started in September 2018.
In her spare time Chloe enjoys going to the gym, travelling, exploring new places and socialising with friends.
Nosheen joined the team in February 2020 as a Trainee Solicitor and has commenced her training contract in the Wills and Probate department working alongside Tim, Andrea and Ghis.
Having studied Law at De Montfort University, Nosheen went on to complete her Legal Practice Course in 2010 and since then has spent a number of years gaining legal experience whilst working as a paralegal.
Nosheen is available to advise on Wills, Powers of Attorneys and Probate matters.
Away from the office, Nosheen likes to spend time visiting the cinema, enjoying afternoon teas and socialising with friends.
Suzanne works as a paralegal in our family and matrimonial department, assisting Manesha Ruparel in providing assistance and advice to our family law clients.
Having spent her career working within family law, Suzanne has over 20 years of experience in this field of law and is currently studying for the CILEx Level 3 diploma. Suzanne hopes to soon progress to CILEx Level 6 with a view to becoming a Chartered Legal Executive.
Whilst work and study keep Suzanne busy, she likes to make the most of her free time, spending it with family and visiting new places.
